I have loved poetry since I was a young girl. Reading poetry is like silent music to me and it often transports me to a dreamy place.
Writing poetry was a favorite pastime as a young girl. I would entrust these early childhood poems only to my grandmother. With her ongoing encouragement, I finally began submitting them to my school newspaper. I still recall how magical it felt to read them in print.
Recently I discovered some of my later-in-life poems tucked in old journals. That discovery has become the inspiration to return to that creative form of writing. On this page, I will share my poems as they flow from heart to pen and paper.
