My Poems

I’m adding a new component to my ever-evolving blog — Poems. Some are old and some will be new. Please read the tab in my Menu Bar to learn more about my love of reading and writing poetry.

The first one I am offering is an old one I found tucked in my journal. I hope you will enjoy it.

Slow Riser

A peaceful morning unfolds slowly

Morning sky softly lightens to the palest of blues

A slight band of yellow clings gently to the horizon

Palms flutter soft as a whisper in a tender breeze

Morning takes her own sweet time to fully awaken

Ever mindful of each gift at dawn

Lightness in her heart

Stretching limbs and mind, exploring endlessly

At the horizon, the centering, grounding point

A promise of the universal connection
